From their unique view of Earth many Apollo astronauts’ noted  that neither boundaries nor borders were visible from space.  The images of Earth seen by humans in space marked a change  in the world view and a turning point for a generation waking up  to urgent need for environmental protection.

Apollo 15 was the first mission to undertake scientific survey of  the moon. Command Module ‘Endeavour’ was piloted by Col Al  Worden. During his 75 orbits of the moon, witnessing the earth rise each time, he mapped 25% of the lunar surface.

This work is dedicated to the memory of Al Worden
